Zone 1 Mobile Devices Oman – Intrinsically Safe Communication for Oman Hazardous Areas
Zone 1 hazardous area classifications are present across Oman’s oil and gas production, processing, and export infrastructure, from wellheads and production gathering centres in the Omani interior to the Oman LNG liquefaction trains at Qalhat and the OQ refinery and petrochemical complex at Sohar. Zone 1 Requirements at Oman LNG Qalhat
Oman LNG’s three-train liquefaction facility at Qalhat processes natural gas from PDO’s Southern Oman fields into LNG for export to Asian markets. The LNG liquefaction process creates Zone 1 classified areas across the gas reception, treating, dehydration, NGL extraction, mixed refrigerant compression and liquefaction, LNG storage, and marine loading sections of the plant. Infinity-EX Zone 1 mobile phones, carrying Group IIC certification covering methane and LNG vapour service, are suitable for use across all Zone 1 classified areas at the Qalhat LNG facility.
