ATEX Certified Explosion-Proof Mobile Phones for Turkey’s Refining & Petrochemical Sector

Türkiye is a major energy transit and refining hub, strategically positioned between Caspian, Middle Eastern, and European markets. Major Zone 1 / Zone 21 sites include the TUPRAS Izmit Refinery (the country’s largest, 11.3 mtpa), TUPRAS Kirikkale, TUPRAS Izmir, TUPRAS Batman, the STAR Aliaga Refinery, the PETKIM Aliaga petrochemical complex (the largest integrated petrochemical plant in Türkiye), the BOTAS LNG import terminals (Marmara Eregli, Aliaga FSRU, Dortyol FSRU, Hatay), and the Ceyhan oil-export terminal at the BTC pipeline endpoint.

Türkiye’s pipeline transit corridors — BTC (Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan), TANAP (Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline), Blue Stream, and TurkStream — relies on compressor and pumping stations that require ATEX-compliant communication tools. The Filyos Industrial Zone (with Black Sea Sakarya gas-field landfall), the Ceyhan Energy Specialised Industrial Zone (planned green-hydrogen and refining expansion), and emerging EPC fabrication yards in Aliaga and Tuzla likewise demand certified ATEX devices.
